We don't work on a commission basis which removes inter-salesman competitiveness, which is a benefit to you as the person selling to you has nothing to gain from the sale allowing them to be honest and up front with you.

We take pride in the presentation and quality of our Pre-Loved Vehicles.

When next looking for a Car, 4 Wheel Drive, or Commercial Vehicle we ask that you pay us a visit and put our honesty, reliability and integrity to the test. We will give you the right advice every time.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are dealers out there which put a minimum profit of between $2,000 and $3,000 on every car, which is how they can offer a minimum tradein valuation. Let's face it, something is wrong if you are offered $2,000 for a car that is obviously worth only $300. At CarZone we have a different philosophy, that is " it is better to sell a lot of cars and make a little bit of profit than it is to sell a few cars and make a lot". We're simply not a dealer that artificially inflates the window price to allow for negotiations and offers. Our vehicles are well priced and as a result we sell a lot more vehicles than similar sized or even larger dealerships.

Here is a challenge for you! Next time you go to Woolworth's or Cole's for your weekly grocery shopping and the checkout operator says "that will be $248" we suggest your reply be "I'll give you $230 for it!" and see what the response is.

The price of your groceries is clearly marked and you don't question it, our prices are also clearly marked on the window of every vehicle in the yard.

When you decide to purchase a vehicle we generally require a $500 deposit to secure it and take it off the market. The balance is payable when you take delivery.

Once you have signed an Order and paid your deposit the vehicle is considered to be "SOLD" and we will not sell it to anyone else.

You can pick your car up as soon as you've paid for it in full. If you like you can pay in full and drive it away the same day, or pay your deposit and pick it up in a few days.

When you're financing a vehicle we cannot deliver it to you until we have received settlement advice from the finance company.

Our workshop is supervised and run by a Licensed Mechanic with decades of mechanical experience. From old non-electronic vehicles to current motor vehicle & engine technologies.

All our vehicles go through the workshop to ensure that any safety items are attended to and that any faults found are rectified. For example, brakes which are 70% worn or more will be replaced without question, if disks require machining they are machined or replaced, etc.

We try to put every vehicle through the workshop before they're available for sale, however, we sometimes get a little behind as vehicles which have been sold take priority which in turn pushes other vehicles back in the queue. Regardless of our workload your vehicle will be inspected, work shopped & serviced before you take delivery.

Finance is available on most of our vehicles over $5,000. We don't provide the finance ourselves, we use a finance Broker who will find the best deal for you from a number of Finance Providers such as Commonwealth, ANZ, Esanda etc.

Generally a deposit is required on the day you sign the "Offer to Purchase". The actual amount needed will vary depending on your financial circumstances and the vehicle you are purchasing. If you have a trade-in you will find that it may be used as either the full or part deposit.

If you intending to get finance you should bring two forms of ID with you and a couple of Pay slips. If you have a reasonable credit history (they will check both here in Australia and a number of other countries) then you wont have any trouble at all.

Of course you can, CarZone welcome Independent Mechanical Inspections on any of our vehicles. We pride ourselves in the mechanical and cosmetic condition of our used Cars and Commercial Vehicles.

The key term here is "independent". We will not allow you to take the car away for your own mechanic or a friend to have a look at because they are generally unable to provide you with honest and independent advice. An independent advisor will take into account the vehicles age and distance traveled. Don't forget, these are second hand cars, not new ones. If you want a car that drives like new, looks like new then maybe you should be buying a new car.

Our vehicles are well priced and their age, kilometers and overall condition are taken into account when the price is put on.

The cost of an Independent Inspection is the responsibility of the customer and is likely to be between $200 and $500 depending on the type and age of the vehicle. 4 Wheel Drives cost a little more than passenger cars.

Every dealer has there own idea about what a vehicle is worth, some deliberately under value a vehicle in an effort to get your trade-in for less which allows them to sell it later and make more.

Our Valuer is recognized as one of the best in the country and often gets calls from other yards Australia wide asking for an opinion on a vehicles true value.

Using the Red Book to value your own vehicle is a waste of time for a number of reasons. 1) The book value is based on an average sale price at auctions (includes the super cheap ex mining and other junk cars) which is an idiotic method for valuing a vehicle, 2) Every car is different and therefore a different valuation is required, 3) Vehicle prices are market driven and not driven by the Red Book. If you come in and say that the Red Book says my car is worth $10,000 then we suggest you contact the Red Book people and ask them to buy it. The Red Book should be used for amusement purposes only and no real consideration should be given to it or the valuations it provides.

When we value a Trade-In we must take into account what must spent to make it saleable, for example, does it require a new exhaust system or a couple of tyres. We must also consider that when we sell the vehicle we must make something from it.

The age and kilometers traveled are also taken into account when valuing a vehicle, so two almost identical vehicles will get different valuations because one has 100,000KM and the other has 250,000KM.

We do spend a lot on preparing vehicles for sale and work shopping them which we must recover. Often we are not aware of what is required for a Trade-In, this is because the seller of the vehicle may not have been totally truthful about it's history or mechanical condition. Would it surprise you to know that a large number of people trading in their vehicles lie to us about it's condition or how good it is? We are not silly and will find out the truth which just makes the seller look silly. People trading in their vehicles are far more dishonest than the worst car salesman. But those same sellers come back to the dealership with the smallest of problems, which we are often happy to attend to - but we aren't able to say "I'm sorry sir, you didn't tell us the truth about your trade-in because it needed a new engine".

While you and your vehicle are within the confines of the Dealership and prior to delivery of the vehicle, you are covered by our insurance policy.

Once you pick up your vehicle you are no longer covered by our insurance and should arrange for your own coverage. You can do that on the phone at CarZone before you pick up the car if you like.

The Motor Industry has been plagued by rogues and people who are happy to do dodgy deals. Selling used cars has always been seen as a quick way to make a lot of money, but in reality these same rogues are being pushed out of the industry through legislation, licensing requirements, and Government monitoring.

There are still some scum bags out there who legitimately own yards and sell cars, but they will gradually disappear because word of mouth advertising will make them known and they'll be forced out.

If you purchase a vehicle and then have an issue and talk to your salesman regarding warranty and are told to #&^$ *&$ then you've probably been taken for a ride by a scum bag. The best thing you can do is to tell all your friends not to shop there and eventually the scum bags business will cease to exist.

If, on the other hand you talk to your salesman about Warranty and he says "let me see how we can help you" then you have probably found a reputable and honest dealer. Again, tell your friends.

As the old saying suggests, it only takes one rotten apple! A few dodgy individuals can ruin the reputations of many people and it is unwarranted.

CarZone are one of the reputable dealers.

The most important reason to purchase a vehicle through a dealer is "vehicle ownership title". When you purchase privately you do not know if there is any money owing on it. If there is, even if you pay for it in full, it can still be repossessed. We've seen it happen a number of times and the new owner (you) doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Licensed Motor Dealers must guarantee clear title to a vehicle so that you know there is no money owing on it, therefore it cannot be repossessed because of previous monies owing on it.

We believe that our vehicles are well priced considering age, distance traveled, and overall condition. We will not price match other dealers because we're a dealer with integrity and believe in the products we sell. If you've found a vehicle elsewhere that is cheaper then you should ask yourself "why is it cheaper" and perhaps go and buy it. We don't buy cars from the auctions and therefore will not auction our vehicles by bidding for your business.

The quality of our vehicles means that they are worth a fair price. It is dishonorable for us or you to get involved in a "back and forth price matching war".
